As an international student, paying tuition fees to your institution is the most critical cross-border payment you are required to do. Payments must have a foreign exchange element in order to be eligible. Rewards may only be redeemed on bank transfer payments (e.g. credit card, etc. payment types are excluded). With every eligible transaction you make via Flywire, you can earn rewards when you transfer funds abroad as follows:

Example – Tuition scenario
Rhea used Flywire pay her first term fees of ₹ 9 lakhs (or ₹ 900,000) directly to the Flywire University. Since the amount was above the threshold of ₹ 0.83 lakh (or ₹ 83,000), Rhea was entitled to earn 2,250 reward points, equivalent to ₹ 2,250.
Later, if Rhea makes a tuition payment of ₹ 500,000 (less than ₹ 830,000) for the next term, she cannot claim a discount. However, if she makes a tuition payment of ₹ 9 lakhs (or ₹ 900,000), she can utilize all her points and claim a discount of ₹ 2,250.
